We were delighted in August to be able to take part in the second Freedom To Learn Forum at Braziers Park. It was a wonderful melting pot of ideas and energy and testament to the growing movement of alternative education approaches in the UK. Illona Sabera captured the spirit of the festival in this short film, including interviews with staff and students from East Kent Sudbury.
The opening statement “I want to do this… I can do this… let’s just do it” sums up the mood of Freedom to Learn perfectly. Our students like these are brimming with ideas and energy and have the power to make those ideas a reality. It’s also the same spirit with which many of the projects featured including EKS at the forum were founded – let’s just do this!
