East Kent Sudbury (EKS) is a self-directed, democratic educational setting inspired by the Sudbury Valley School. Staff and students run the community together through the democratic structure and therefore these roles include far more than in a conventional school. Staff Member – Maths Specialist
We are seeking a Qualified Teacher with specialism in secondary Maths education to work one day per week starting September 2021. If successful you will lead Maths classes for equivalent of Key Stage 3 and 4 and support students in taking Maths GCSE, where they choose to seek this learning experience. You will also be responsible for curriculum planning for Maths and in balancing the requirements of the Independent School Standards with our Self-Directed ethos, maintaining flexibility and responding to students changing needs and interest.
Salary for the position starts at £16,380 pro-rata, plus travel expenses, with a view to increases as our project develops.
