The Green Parent magazine, October issue, includes a great new article from friend and supporter of East Kent Sudbury School Naomi Fisher. Many will be familiar with her entertaining and insightful articles from our blog. In this new article Naomi describes the journey she went on as a parent, reflecting on her own education and observing her children’s learning, as she was faced with the decision of what educational path to follow for her children. Naomi talks about why she chose first to home educate without a curriculum, following the children’s interests and not separating play from learning. To then seeing the value of being part of a stable community which ultimately led to their move to Paris to join l’Ecole Dynamique.
It also mentions East Kent Sudbury School as leading the way in bringing Self-Directed schools to the UK.
