Vive la différence! From Unschooling to Sudbury School
12 August, 2018 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Sometimes it’s hard for home educating parents to see what benefits attending a democratic school would have for their children. After all, a lot of what the children do is apparently similar to what they would do at home. Naomi Fisher has an unique perspective – after several years of successful unschooling, she moved with her family to France in spring 2018 so that her children could attend l’Ecole Dynamique, a Sudbury school in Paris.
We’re very excited that Naomi will be with us to talk about why they made the decision to move, the differences (and similarities) between unschooling and democratic education, and what she has observed over the term, as her children attended school for the very first time. There’ll also be time to put your questions to Naomi at the end.
This new video from l’Ecole Dynamique captures the spirit of the school and the Sudbury experience.
